Father's Day

This year kids celebrated Father’s Day without their daddy near them…He was offshore. So it was like a day to recollect their wonderful activities with dad…

Fathers do active things with children –playing, building things and going to events. In general, mothers do passive things like talking to or reading to their children.

The connection between daddy and mummy can be easily eroded in the course of raising a family. Staying connected to each other as a couple is important not only for marital relationship but also that for children. Parents who are happily married are more likely to have children who are emotionally healthier.

The best thing that a Father can do for his children is to love his own Wife unconditionally.

This would make the wheels of Parenting life run smoothly. Fathers need reassurance that they are still the same charming man with whom you were madly in love with….

Moms, Feed these spoonful of Chicken Soup for Fathers’ Soul

Say “I Love You” regularly.

Drop the word “Divorce” from your vocabulary.

Remember your Love Story and tell it to each other.

Demonstrate small acts of kindness.

Avoid put-downs.

Set aside uninterrupted time.

Talk about things other than the kids.

Email or SMS notes to let him know that you are thinking of him.

Be committed.

Stick by each other through thick and thin and make the relationship work-no matter what. Such strong commitment would bring out more miraculous things from a Father.

He would become more loving and worthy enough to be the Man of the Day in your Father’s Day Celebrations.
